Our Mission: The People’s Gathering Place is a community of believers who know that God still moves dynamically today as He did in the scriptures and we desire to be part of His Spirit’s movement today.
We believe that God desires to have a loving relationship with us that is real and personal. We believe He gave His Son as proof of His deep love and we recognize that our salvation is only secured through Him.
Thus, we will seek out others looking for the loved ones of our Father in order to GATHER them.
Our Purpose
The People’s Gathering Place is an evangelistic ministry whose purpose is to communicate the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
The unique nature of this ministry lies in our focus on meeting people on their terms. God meets us where we are!
We cannot be beyond the reach of God’s love!
Our Vision
Our Vision
The People's Gathering Place {TPGP} is about only One Person, Jesus Christ. This church was, is and will always be owned by the Lord Himself for His work. It is therefore His to do with whatever He wishes.
We give God thanks that He allows us to serve Him and become faithful, focused followers of Jesus.
We desire to see ourselves being used by God and for His glory and showing people, and each other, that God has great imagination, that He has great dreams for each one of us.
Hence our scriptural basis, "for you know the PLANS I have for you," declares the Lord, "PLANS to prosper you and not to harm you, PLANS to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord … {Jeremiah 29:11-14}.
So let us kneel down to see how God wants us to GATHER His people. Let us prayerfully imagine a church where
† people expect and believe that God is going to do incredible things;
† people are able to worship in a style/format/manner where they can experience the transforming touch of a loving God;
† we expect God to do the miracles that He has told us He is willing and able to do;
† membership is more about being a disciple than being members of a club;
† each person is an essential component of the work of God;
† the goal is to share the heart of God, desire that none shall perish, and that each person will become all that God has PLANS for them to be;
† each person is uniquely created to be part of something so big that it will require the rest of their lives to make it all happen,.
† our faith is exemplified by being an active serving force in the larger community;
† we are willing to invest in the Canadian church - FORTLOG - FOR The Love Of God;
† people have a missionary zeal, desire, to be available and of service to those who want to serve and are willing to serve but lack the opportunity to know where or lack the training and resources to make it all happen;.
† the values Love, Excellence, Truth, Servanthood and Prayer (LETS Pray) are lived by visible witness.
† faith is authentically lived;
† the building is not so much to glorify an edifice but to ensure and foster the practical, efficient and effective usage of a facility for the reaching of a nation;
† the land usage is designed in such a way that it is conducive to growth and healing
GATHER us Lord. For with you we can do all things but apart from you we can do nothing. May He search each one of us and find us worthy and faithful servants of the Living Lord!
This is only written to share what God has planned for those who loved Him and are called according to this purpose. We write this and lay it on the altar and only ask that He clarifies this and if it His will, which we believe it to be, make it happen. We also acknowledge that it is only God's imagination and God's dreams that will, can and do make it all possible. Thus it is written and committed to God and for His Glory and Honor ALONE!
Our Affiliation
We are affiliated with Congregational Christian Churches in Canada also known as the four CCCCs. We have a long and rich history in Canada beginning in Ontario in 1821 and developing into a national fellowship of evangelical churches.
